2 p.m.: Brixton Chamber Orchestra
Brixton Chamber Orchestra is a versatile group of instrumentalists who deliver exciting live orchestral experiences to a wide audience in Brixton and beyond. They champion orchestral music, introducing it to new audiences in unexpected places. They revel in innovative collaborations with all kinds of artists and genres – Grime to Gospel, Disco to Drum and Bass, Classical to Jazz, and everything in between.
3:30 p.m.: Devins feat. Akin Soul & Youthsayers
Brixton’s Afrobeat mash up features Afro Soul alumni Akin with members of Southsayers and acclaimed local music education project Youthsayers; a music performance and education group based in South London.
5 p.m.: Floetic Lara aka Lara Lee
Local resident Lara and her band focus on “wellness through music”. An accomplished singer, spoken word artist and entrepreneur, FLO seeks to meaningfully engage and educate her audience, reminding them of the possibilities of life and the power of love.
6:30 p.m.: Heat wave
Original ’70s disco funk known for hits like ‘Boogie Nights’, ‘The Groove Line’ and ‘Always and Forever’. Dust off your flares and bring your best dancing shoes. It’s Saturday night fever in Brockwell Park.
Village Green Scene
1:30 p.m.: Sing Out Streatham & Peckham Rye Sings
A friendly community choir that meets every Thursday evening in Streatham. No experience necessary. Voices of all shapes and sizes required. Come find your voice at Sing Out Streatham.
2:45 p.m.: Lambeth Wind Orchestra
Lambeth Wind Orchestra is a community concert band based in Herne Hill. The orchestra was founded in 2008 and has around 40 members who hail from London and beyond, although they are always keen to hear from people who would like rejoin.
4 p.m.: raw jam
Nurturing raw talent, catalyzing creative development and supporting mental health through industry-standard music and media channels for diverse communities in our South London creative community hub and through our vibrant online community.
Raw Material Music and Media is a creative hub for South London communities. Our purpose-built 3-story building includes 2 recording studios, a computer suite, DJ and music and video production software and hardware, as well as a live room for performances, workshops and the overall work.
5 p.m.: Sarah L. King Quintet
Sarah L. King is increasingly recognized on the London jazz scene as a silky-smooth vocalist with a warm stage presence and a repertoire that includes accomplished original songs as well as beautifully performed standards and a certain funk and soul influence. .
6 p.m.: Brasstermind
10 piece marching band from Brixton playing New Orleans soul, funk, afrobeat and grunge style party tunes.
7 p.m.: NKomba
Nkomba is a contemporary African folk band that plays an energetic mix of Malawian folk songs and African roots music.
