WASHINGTON DC – Celebrate the 4th of July live from the nation’s capital, platinum-certified artist jake owen will bring a double dose of country originals to PBS’ A Capitol Fourth this Monday, July 4 starting at 8:00 p.m. ET / 7:00 p.m. CT (check your local listings).
Accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra, the nine-time chart-topper will perform stars from the catalog “American Country Love Song” and “Up to the Honkytonk” to help ring in America’s birthday.
“I can’t wait to celebrate the fourth in DC this year,” shares Owen. “It’s exciting to be part of a great American tradition and sing a few songs while I’m at it. See you Monday night!”
A Capitol Fourth is America’s longest running national live television tradition and can be heard in stereo on NPR member stations nationwide. The special will also air on YouTube and on www.pbs.org/a-capitol-fourth.
