Independence Day celebrations in Eagle Country

THURSDAY JUNE 30, 2022

Batesville, Ind. – The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra will perform the Starry Symphony with a finale of patriotic fireworks. It will take place at Bill Gillespie Soccer Park starting at 8 p.m.

FRIDAY JULY 1, 2022

Osgood, Ind. – The Ripley County Chamber of Commerce Nightly Fireworks will take place at the Ripley County Fairgrounds beginning at 5 p.m.

SATURDAY JULY 2, 2022

Aurora, India. – Light Up Aurora will take place at Gabbard Riverfront Park from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. There will be performances by Steve Brooks & The Bootleggers and Tyler Brindley. The festivities also include the River City Classic Car Club cruise, a beer and wine garden, vendors, food and children’s activities. A fireworks display will take place at 10 p.m. (rain date July 3)

Metamora, Ind. – The Metamora Volunteer Fire Department is hosting a firefighter festival which will include outdoor food and cafe throughout the day and music in the evening. There will be a parade at 6 p.m. and fireworks at dusk.

Rising Sun, Ind. – The Rising Sun Indiana Stars and Stripes Celebration will take place from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Front Street and Rising Sun Riverfront Park. The golf cart parade will begin at 5:00 p.m. from City Hall. Deejay JD Hughes, Sapphire Express Band, food trucks, arts and crafts vendors and fireworks at 10 p.m. (rainy date for fireworks – July 3 at 10 p.m.)

Versailles, Ind. – A fireworks display will take place on the lake at nightfall.

SUNDAY JULY 3, 2022

Harrison Oh. – The Harrison VFW Post 7570 is hosting a Vet Appreciation Day starting at 1 p.m. There will be military vehicles on display, drink specials for vets and Momma Nae’s food truck, DJ Carole at 2 p.m., there will be a tribute to veterans at 3 p.m. and live. Music with Stagger Lee at 8 p.m.

MONDAY JULY 4, 2022

Greendale, Ind. The Fourth of July 5K will begin at 8 a.m. at Greendale Cabin. The Fishing Derby will take place at Schnebelt Pond at 9 a.m., Kids Bike Parade at Oakey Park at 2 p.m., followed by a parade of golf carts at 2:15 p.m. There will be vendors, a beer garden, live music for a 4th of July celebration. from 7:30 a.m., followed by fireworks at dusk.

Harrison Oh. – The festivities will begin at 4 p.m. with a parade starting at the Harrison Community Center. Starting at 5 p.m., the celebration will include family activities. Food, beverages and adult beverages will be available for purchase. A cornhole tournament from 6 p.m. The Renegades will be featured in the concert beginning at 7 p.m. and fireworks will begin at dusk in Greendale Park.

Hidden Valley Lake, Ind.– The 15th Annual Mayor’s Boat Parade on July 4 will begin at 6:30 p.m. The lake will switch to No Wake at 6:00 p.m. and boats can begin lining up at 6:15 p.m. There will be fireworks at dusk.

Milan, Ind. – July 4 parade at 10am and fireworks at nightfall.
