SCHENECTADY – On Friday, June 5, at 3:00 p.m., the Capital Region Wind Ensemblewith Brett Werymusical director, presents “French Impressions” in the Taylor Auditorium at SUNY Schenectady School of Music. The Capital Region Wind Ensemble, in residence at SUNY Schenectady, will perform works by Chabrier, Debussy, Gounod and Giroux. This performance will feature Julie Taylor, solo clarinet. Tickets are available at the door.
Taylor has been the Director of Bands at Bethlehem Central Middle School in Delmar, NY, since 2007. In addition to CRWE, Taylor performs with the Park Playhouse Pit Orchestra, Schenectady Symphony Orchestra, and many local pit orchestras as a specialist Woodland. She hosts Woodwind clinics throughout the Capital District, is an NYSSMA judge, and has been honored to lead groups from every county and region in New York State. Taylor also maintains a private clarinet studio which includes students participating in the NYSSMA All-State Conference and the NYSBDA All-State Honor Bands. She holds an MM in Music Education from Ithaca College and a BM in Music Education and a Clarinet Performance Certificate from SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for students, and $5 for children under 10. SUNY Schenectady students with ID are free. Masks are mandatory.
