MUSIC: Paul Serra and Country Gold will play in Manchester | Free time

CONCORA, Connecticut Choral Artists, presents Bach’s Mass in B Minor on Sunday at Asylum Hill Congregational Church, 814 Asylum Ave. in Hartford.

Considered the greatest work in the choral repertoire, Bach’s Mass in B minor features a range of early music forms such as Gregorian chant, joyful Italianate baroque and German fugue, including the best Bach has ever had. never composed.

The Marlborough Arts Centre, 231 North Main St., will host Grass Routes at “4th Friday at the Arts Cafe” on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Grass Routes is a five-piece bluegrass band from Connecticut. Since 1980, the band has been delighting audiences with a repertoire ranging from traditional bluegrass standards to folk and contemporary songs, all performed in their bluegrass style.

Doors open at 7 p.m. Admission is $10.

Nutmeg Symphony Orchestra

The Nutmeg Symphony Orchestra presents its Antonin Dvorak Concert, conducted by Music Director Marshall Brown on Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. at Bristol Eastern High School, 632 King St.

The concert will feature the Bristol Eastern High School Chorus, Elizabeth Lyra Ross, soprano, and Chai-lun Yueh, bass.

The program is Dvorak, Symphony No. 8 and Dvorak, Te Deum.

Tickets will be available at the door.
